Ricola AG is one of the most modern and innovative companies in the world. It stands for Swiss quality and exports its herbal specialties to over 50 countries. The family-run company is a pioneer of herb cultivation and is committed to economically, socially and environmentally sustainable corporate management. The traditional values of a family-run enterprise coupled with quality awareness and a passion for innovation define the success of this top Swiss brand.

In 2003, ECHT convinced Ricola with its recommendations for the redesign of the complete hard bonbon range and won the pitch. Designed as a visual hook, the new look is based on illustrating the herbal components of the products in a loose schematic structure. Ricola herb drops – the main brand – most strongly incorporate the structure of the design, with the focus on the mix of 13 herbs. The other types are colour-coded and also adorned with the defining herb in terms of flavour.
